Potty Update!!

Its been 1 week since Jace has started using his potty. I have to help him take off his diaper and tell him to go..we try to take him to the potty every hour. Everytime he uses it I jump for joy and make a big deal out of it so that he knows I'm proud of him..sometimes he looks at me an frowns and says "Mommy, stop." Its so cute!
:)

Hopefully its not long until he is able to tell me that he has to go to the bathroom instead of me of having to tell him to go. :)

Christmas

Ok so its been a while since my last post. Ive been busy with a new job and keeping up with Jace. He is growing up way too fast.

It went from "love you" to "I love you too, Mom" :) When he knows he did something wrong, he shrugs his shoulders and says "I'm sorry". He loves Thomas the Train and Bob the Builder and and he can name all the characters. He pretends to talk on the phone and says "Hi, I'm Jace, nice to meet you." He is adventurous and curious. He loves to go swimming, and he loves to paint.

This year he made a gingerbread house and met Santa. Jace is my angel.

Goal: We are trying to teach Jace to use the potty. He knows when he releases because he comes to me and say "doo-doo". I hope he learns soon so he can start going to school...and thanks to my new job Jace will be going to a private school. :) I'm excited for him! Hopefully he will be potty trained by next August. I'll keep you updated.

Animals, Letters, and Numbers

Today was the first day that I realized that Jace knows the sounds that animals make. Whenever he sees a picture of a cow he says "cow...mooo." So today I asked him what sound does a dog make, and to my amazement he responded with "ruff, ruff". Then I asked him what sound a cat made, and he said "meowwww." Then I asked him about a duck and he said "quack, quack", then I asked about sheep and he said "baaaaa... baaaa", then I asked about him about a dinosaur and he puts his hands up like claws and said "roooar". I was in awe and I couldn't think of any other animals, so he walked away. So cute!

Letters..he loves letters. Everywhere we go he spells out every word he sees. He can say all the letters upon seeing them, except for W. He thinks its a game when he correctly recites the letters. Now we are working on putting them in alphabetical order. In the car rides, I say A, then he'll say A...then I'll say B, then he'll say B..etc. For some strange reason when I get to L he'll always skip to M, and when I say W, he replies with M. When I use his flash cards to show him the order, he'll grab the W card and flip it over and say M.

We bought number flash cards, and we are showing him 1-5 for now. When he masters that we'll introduce more numbers.

Alphabets

This post is just to keep up with Jace's learning process. Well Jace is learning his alphabets. Today we made flash cards with the alphabets on them...he knows B, C, D, I, L, M, O, S, and Y. He also is learning more body parts, he knows..belly, bellybutton, eyes, ears, hair, elbow, fingers, toes, chin, neck, knee, foot, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, cheeks, and eyebrow. We are working on shoulder and forehead. He also does a muscle pose and growls if you ask him where his muscles are. Jace also rolls his eyes when you ask him to or if you are talking to him for a long period of time. He can say "moon", "cat", "Coco", "Mom", "fish", "bird", "car", "baaa" (his word for bus), "baba" (his word for balloon), "pane" (his word for airplane), "no", and "happy". His new thing is to pretend that he is sleeping while fake snoring. Its hilarious! He is growing up too quickly.

Happy Mother's Day Weekend

Happy Mother's Day!

Tomorrow Jace and I are going to be joining my mom, aunty and Kairi (Jace's cousin) for lunch. BUFFET LUNCH!! Not good for my diet, but it will definitely be a good time. Then we'll be joining my mom, aunty, and cousin for dinner. That ones going to be a temponyaki, YUM!

Being a mother is so rewarding. I would never have imagined in a million years that I would be a mother at 23 years old, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. I absolutely love it. All you mothers know exactly what I mean.

My cousin has recently become a mother, Congratulations Steph! We wish you best.

Happy Mother Day! :)
